Extractions
An extraction is performed to remove a tooth, whether because of disease, crowding, or damage. When extractions are required, the area around the tooth will be numbed and your dentist will remove the tooth. A small amount of bleeding is normal, as your mouth will replace the removed tooth root by forming a blood clot in the area.

Fillings
Dental fillings are used to treat different dental problems like cavities and broken teeth. Teeth are usually filled with a material called composite resin, which is designed to look like natural teeth. Fillings can also be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam.
Composite resin takes a little longer, though most people still prefer it because it creates natural-looking teeth. It takes more than one layer, and a special light is used to harden the area around the filling.

Root canals are necessary when decay and bacteria have spread for an extended period without treatment. Over time, this decay reaches the inner pulp of the tooth, which contains nerves. Consequently, infection often leads to significant pain. Since this occurs inside the tooth, the damage may not be visible externally. Instead, you may experience pain and observe other signs such as bleeding, swelling, and bad breath.

TMJ Treatment
At Mark Bochinski Dental, we are proud to offer temporomandibular joint dysfunction, otherwise known as TMJ, treatments to provide relief for our patients. TMJ is caused by an inflammation in the temporomandibular joint, which acts as a sliding hinge that connects your jawbone to your skull.
What are the symptoms of TMJ?
TMJ causes pain and discomfort along the jawbone and can make it painful to even move your jaw. While jaw pain and discomfort don’t always equate to TMJ, if you are also experiencing headaches, trouble chewing, or pain in the face, jaw, and ear, you’re more than likely experiencing TMJ.

Denture Partials
A removable partial denture is an optimal solution for patients who may have one or more missing teeth in a specific area of their mouth. Removable partial dentures are attached to a gum-colored base that may include a metal framework to secure it in place against the surrounding teeth. These dentures are designed to replace missing teeth, restore functionality, and improve oral health. When a tooth is lost and the gap is left unfilled, it can cause neighboring teeth to shift, leading to significant changes in your bite and potential long-term damage to your gums and jawbone.
Removable partial dentures offer a less invasive method to replace and restore missing teeth compared to alternative solutions. While they are more cost-effective and less invasive than implants, removable partial dentures require regular upkeep and maintenance throughout your lifetime. Since these partial dentures are removable and rest on your gums, they need to be cleaned frequently, just like your natural teeth. Regular denture cleaning helps keep your gums healthy and your dentures looking their best.
To initiate the treatment, we will assess if removable partial dentures are the most suitable option for you. Factors such as oral hygiene, the location of the missing teeth, bone strength, and long-term viability for dentures will determine your treatment plan. Our team will start by taking dental impressions of your teeth, which will serve as the mold used to create your dentures. We will then review the size, shape, and color of each replacement tooth to recreate a natural-looking smile. Once determined, we will send the molds to a dental lab, where a mock-up partial denture will be created for you.
During a fitting appointment with our team, you will try out the mock-up dentures to assess their fit, appearance, and comfort in your mouth. This is the opportunity for you and our team to make any necessary adjustments to the fit or color of the teeth before returning the mock-ups to the lab for final alterations. Your honest feedback is essential, as it will shape the final removable partial denture that you will receive. Once the last modifications have been made to the mock-up, the lab will custom build your dentures. When we receive the final design, we will schedule a fitting session to make minor adjustments for comfort, bite, or fit, all of which can be done in-house by our team.
